What signs suggest my dog needs a cleanse?
Most of the signs are easy to miss because they look like everyday things: scooting along the floor, obsessive paw licking, itchy or flaky skin, loose stool or the occasional bout of vomiting, a dull coat, low energy, or restless nights and pacing at three in the morning.
You do not have to see worms. Light, subclinical infestations are common, and a standard stool test misses a share of the cases.
How is this different from a chemical de-wormer?
Harsh de-wormers go after adult worms and stop there. They do not repair the gut that let the infestation take hold, and they can be hard on the body.

Will I see visible worms?

My dog tested negative. Is it still worth it?
A negative result rules out little — a stool test is a snapshot and misses a share of the light infestations. If the signs are there and keep coming back, a gentle cleanse is a reasonable step.
